A fascination with history continues to inform my painting..
An acute inquiry into what came before, and from across the ages and regions.
I think it’s essential to have a knowledge of history, and of painting, architecture, music, and design of all kinds.. 
The past fills me up, each day informing me, and as I sit to paint any beginning of work, my mind chatters noisily and excitedly with these stories as I begin my own singular and unique way of interpreting these sounds. It’s not at all that I ever want to copy an idea or image, but rather to instead, record a response to how that something makes me feel.
